Global warming can be reduced by minimizing the cause of green house effect; by reducing the emission of green house gases. The following are the important suggestions presented by scientists and environmentalists to prevent / minimize global warming.
- Reducing the travel energy consumptions by travelling fewer times and using public transport vehicles.
- Using better insulation to our homes. Coal and other fossil fuels can be saved and thus reducing the carbon emissions.
- Emissions can be lessened by using less carbon fossil fuels like natural gas.
- Industrial outputs must be de-carbonized before sending out to atmosphere.
- Using renewable energy sources like solar, wind, tidal waves and other hydo-electric methods for common purposes.
- Preventing de-forestation and encouraging afforestation. Plants use CO2(carbon dioxide) for producing food and planting more plants reduce the CO2 level.
- Using hybrid vehicles that run on electricity and bio fuels.
- Using nuclear fusion reactors for large scale energy production. Nuclear fusion does not produce large amount of emissions.
- Using technology to invent cleaner energy sources and to reduce the existing emissions.

[…] Accelerated green house effect is the important cause of global warming. Humans use fossil fuels and burn them for everything from food to transportation. The result is increased amount CO2 in atmosphere. Increased CO2 inevitably leads to increased greenhouse effect and more heat energy will be trapped above the earth surface. […]
